Emer­gency re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion works on Sier­ra Leone Well No. 10 this week, will mean an in­ter­rup­tion in the wa­ter sup­ply in parts of Diego Mar­tin, an ad­vi­so­ry from the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty says.

The sup­ply dis­rup­tion be­gins to­day, Mon­day 15 Au­gust 2022, and will con­tin­ue to Fri­day, Au­gust 19.

“This has be­come nec­es­sary in or­der to car­ry out emer­gency well re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion works at the fa­cil­i­ty,” WASA ex­plains in the ad­vi­so­ry.

A lim­it­ed truck borne wa­ter sup­ply will be avail­able up­on re­quest. WASA is urg­ing cus­tomers to arrange a sys­tem of stor­age and man­age their wa­ter use ef­fi­cient­ly over the pe­ri­od of this dis­rup­tion.

Af­fect­ed ar­eas in­clude:

●   Sier­ra Leone Road and all side streets

●   Morne Co­co Road from Sier­ra Leone to Ma­ju­ba Cross Road

●   St. Lu­cien Road from Sier­ra Leone to Su­perville Quary and all side streets

WASA ex­pects to be­gin full restora­tion of the pipe-borne wa­ter sup­ply on Fri­day 19 Au­gust 2022.
