The Red House will resume officiating of weddings—on a phased basis—commencing Thursday 5th May, according to an advisory from the Office of the Parliament.
However, weddings will be scheduled on Thursdays only between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 noon.
The Office of the Parliament states the wedding party, including the bride and groom, must be no more than eight persons. In addition, arrangements must be made through the Registrar General’s Office. Bookings can be made, starting today, Tuesday 3 May 2022.
Apart from the resumption of weddings, in-person Chamber Tours and visits to the Rotunda Gallery also recommence this week.
The Office of the Parliament explains that in-person tours of the Parliament Chamber will be facilitated in groups of no more than 15 persons in the Chambers (House of Representatives and the Senate) at any time.
To book tours, interested persons should call 624-7275, or email parlcorpcomm@ttparliament.org
With regard to accessing the public gallery to view Parliamentary proceedings, no more than 40 persons will be accommodated to ensure proper social distancing seating.
Most importantly, all COVID-19 protocols are to be observed while on the Parliament precincts, the advisory states.
