A West­moor­ings woman and a Debe man were de­tained by po­lice over the week­end, fol­low­ing sev­er­al re­ports that they were so­lic­it­ing vic­tims via so­cial me­dia dat­ing ap­pli­ca­tions—and im­pris­on­ing and rob­bing them, be­fore threat­en­ing the vic­tims and their fam­i­lies in ex­change for mon­ey.

The 29-year-old woman, of West Park Vil­las, West­moor­ings; and the 35-year-old man, of Ramd­hanie Trace, Debe, re­mained in po­lice cus­tody up to yes­ter­day.

How­ev­er, the two were ex­pect­ed to be re­leased by last night, as no charges were brought against them while in­ves­ti­ga­tions were on­go­ing.

They are fac­ing al­le­ga­tions in­clud­ing false im­pris­on­ment, as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing ac­tu­al bod­i­ly harm and rob­bery with vi­o­lence and ex­tor­tion/black­mail.

The West­moor­ings woman, who us­es the alias­es Fiona and Danielle on so­cial me­dia and dat­ing sites, was said to be of African de­scent and of­ten wears long curly blond wigs. She was al­so said to have sev­er­al scars on her left hand from cut­ting her­self.

Mean­while, her male friend, who goes by the alias Vik, is of East In­di­an de­scent, with a ras­ta hair­style.

He was said to have scars on his left wrist and left shoul­der, along with tat­toos con­tain­ing words and pic­ture in­signias on his left and right fore­arms, back and chest.
