An hour earlier, Jason Roberts lost both legs after crashing into a bus shed along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway. Police said Roberts, of Wharf Trace, Maracas St Joseph, was heading west around 3:05 a.m. when he reportedly lost control of his Nissan Tiida and crashed into a bus shed near Xtra Foods.

Roberts remains warded in a stable but serious condition. Fire officials reported that only one of his legs was retrieved. A passenger sustained a major laceration to one of his legs.
