Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mur­der of a 34-year-old woman who was found dead in a drain in En­ter­prise, Ch­agua­nas on Thurs­day night.

Around 7.45 pm, of­fi­cers re­spond­ed to a re­port and went to Gibbs Trace Ex­ten­sion, where they found the mo­tion­less body of a woman dressed in grey jeans and a pur­ple T-shirt ly­ing in a con­crete drain on the north­ern side of the street.

She ap­peared to have been shot in the up­per left side of her back.

The Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer vis­it­ed the scene, pro­nounced her dead, and or­dered that the body be tak­en to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre for a post-mortem.

The woman was lat­er iden­ti­fied as Va­lene Vanes­sa Camp­bell of Col­lege Road, El Do­ra­do.
