Homicide detectives are searching for a man in connection with the killing of a 28-year-old woman who was found stabbed at her home in Granville, Cedros, last evening.
Relatives discovered the body of Reshme Deoajit on a bed at her home along Boodram Trace after entering through a window.
Police said she was last seen around 8 pm on Monday arguing with a male friend.
Earlier that day, around 6 pm, Deoajit, the man and a relative were liming and drinking at her home before going to another nearby house where they continued.
Her brother became concerned and went to check on her around 6.30 pm yesterday but found the house locked. He entered through a window and found her body.
Friends and relatives later took to social media, describing her as an avid cricketer and a pleasant person. She had won several trophies during her time at Cedros Secondary School and in community competitions.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region Three are continuing enquiries.
