Weah Adams netted a first-half brace to guide Georgia FC over Golden Lane 3-0 to maintain their comfortable lead at the top of the Tobago Football Association Premier Division at Mt Pleasant Recreation Ground on Tuesday.
Adams got his double in the 30th and 38th while Jabari Mitchell found the net in the 35th during an eight-minute spell which turned the match on its head.
The victory lifted Georgia to 57 points from 24 matches on the 16-team table, seven ahead of Signal Hill United while Leeds United is third, a further two points back.
On Sunday, Signal Hill got hat-tricks from Christopher Morgan (20th, 69th, 84th) and Devon Stewart (28th, 35th, 86th) to come-from-behind and punish Lambeau FC 11-1.
Miguel George added a double in the 25th and 31st, and Darryl Trim (5th, and Kenvern Marcelle (37th) one each after Lambeau FC had gone ahead through a David Francis strike in the eighth minute.
Leeds United got a hat-trick from Keon Boucher in an 8-1 hammering of Bethel United to briefly trim Georgia FC’s lead also on Sunday at Plymouth Recreation Ground.
Boucher got his goals in the 16th, 73rd and 79th minutes for Leeds after Tereek Richards had fired in an eighth-minute opener while Kevon Adams (70th) and Keston Rodney (88th) were also on target along with two own goals from Donelle Williams in the 22nd, and Anton Simon in the 68th. Nicholas Smart got the lone item for Bethel United, the last-minute strike.
