MIC Central FC Reboot got a goal on each side of the half from midfielder John-Paul Rochford and Kevon "Showtime" Woodley, respectively, in shutting out Eagles FC 2-0 and moving to second in Tier I on the T&T Premier Football League standings.

After a flying start to the league that pushed them up front early, coach Jason Spence's team's performance on the field dipped after losing players to international clubs. At the Arima Velodrome on Saturday though, they lifted themselves from fourth to the second position in the 12-team table.

Rochford fired his team ahead after just the third minute and 'Showtime', who was cut from national coach Dwight Yorke's squad for the Concacaf Gold Cup and World Cup Qualifiers, showed his capabilities by sealing the winner for the Central Sharks ten minutes from the end (80th minute).

The Sharks now trail leader Defence Force by 12 points after the Army/Coast Guard/Civilians combination team defeated San Juan Jabloteh 3-1 on Friday at the Phase II Recreation Ground in La Horquetta to move to 39 points while maintaining their unbeaten record.

Also Saturday, Prison Service FC thrashed Point Fortin Civic 3-0 in the second match of a doubleheader, however, the win could not affect a change in their position on the standings. Brendon Figuera led the way for the prison officers with a double to take the spotlight in the encounter.

Rhondel Gibson, though, caused early problems for the team from deep south from the penalty spot in the eighth minute, handing Prison Service a 1-0 advantage.

Figuera pushed his team further ahead 2-0 with his opener in the 51st minute. He then ended all chances the Point Fortin-based unit had of making a comeback by sealing the win in the 90+3 minute.

The win was only the second for the prison officers all season, and with three drawn accounts to their credit, they moved to nine points but remained in the 10th position.
