For­mer T&T Women War­riors strik­er Ken­nya Cord­ner fired her 27th goal of the sea­son in Fener­bache’s 6-0 de­feat of Hatayspor in the Turk­ish Women’s Foot­ball League clash on Sun­day.

Mar­i­ana Pereira Jale­ca opened the scor­ing for Fener­bache as ear­ly as the sixth minute be­fore the 33-year-old Cord­ner, who was cau­tioned in the 15th, and was nom­i­nat­ed by Con­ca­caf among its ten nom­i­nees for the “Best For­ward” award, dou­bled the ad­van­tage in the 23rd minute, to go two goals clear of ALG Spor’s Mariem Houij (25 goals) be­fore she was re­placed in the 40th minute due to in­jury by Sete­nay Sir­im.

Eng­lish­woman Shamee­ka Fish­ley then added a sec­ond-half hat-trick in the 60th, 64th and 73rd to push her tal­ly to 15, while Erin Michelle Yen­ney al­so chipped in with one of her own in the 68th for Fener­bache, now top of Group A with 46 points from 18 match­es, one ahead of Be­sik­tas who have a match in hand. Mean­while Ankara Fomget and An­talyas­por are joint third with 38 points, and Fatih Vatan Spor, fifth with 37, one more than Eregli Belediye Spor.

At the top of the 12-club Group B stand­ings are ALG Spor with 50 points from 18 match­es, eight clear of sec­ond-placed Wulfz Fatih Karagum­ruk, while Hakkarigu­cu is third with 40 points, close­ly fol­lowed by Kon­ak Belediye­spor with 36, and Adana Id­manyur­dus­por with 31.
