​Chris­t­ian Far­num poured in 24 points to keep Coach KG Elite per­fect at the top of the Men’s Sec­ond Di­vi­sion stand­ings with a 101-66 win over Ba­sic Bas­ket­ball Acad­e­my in the Lin­coln “Crip­ple” Grif­fith North Zone Bas­ket­ball League at the Wood­brook Youth Fa­cil­i­ty in Port-of-Spain on Sun­day (June 28).

Elite’s scor­ing depth blew the game open in the sec­ond half. Along­side Far­num, Ranaan Howard (19) and Dil­lon Har­ring­ton (17) fu­elled a 32-13 third-quar­ter surge that broke open a tight con­test af­ter Elite held a nar­row 42-39 lead at half­time.

​Mean­while, sec­ond-on-the-ta­ble Trail­blaz­ers kept up their fu­ri­ous chase for the top spot by crush­ing Roy­al­ty 77–44. Led by Brion De­four’s 23 points and Eli­jah Bruce’s 17, Trail­blaz­ers jumped to a com­mand­ing 21-8 first-quar­ter lead and nev­er looked back, en­sur­ing the vic­to­ry was well de­cid­ed by half­time.

​Mal­oney Pac­ers se­cured a sec­ond-di­vi­sion dou­ble win. Their streak be­gan on Sun­day, down­ing Val New Gen­er­a­tion 78-62, led by Haseem Best’s 24 points. They fol­lowed that up on Thurs­day, as N’ko­bie Ince scored 31 to help the Pac­ers sur­vive an 88-84 thriller against Spar­tans TT, de­spite a 32-point ef­fort from Zachary Julien.

​Val New Gen­er­a­tion found suc­cess lat­er in the week, rid­ing Ste­fan Davis’ 30 points to ral­ly past New Age Li­ons 74-64 on Thurs­day. In the Women’s Di­vi­sion, Nairo­bi Lewis stole the show, ex­plod­ing for 35 points to car­ry the Mal­oney Pac­ers past Roy­al­ty 80-66.
