Jemel Har­graves scored an as­ton­ish­ing sev­en goals to in­spire Mal­abar FC to an em­phat­ic 16-0 drub­bing of Rosa XI in their East­ern Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (EFA) Pre­mier Di­vi­sion clash at D'Abadie Recre­ation Ground, D'Abadie, Ari­ma on Sun­day.

Ra­heem Hen­ry added a beaver-trick while Jonathan Al­bin and Sha­keem Chap­man two each and Seon Pun­nette, the oth­er in the one-sided Group A con­test, and Mal­abar's sec­ond win in six match­es.

How­ev­er, at the top of the Group A stand­ings is CG Po­sei­don who edged past East­ern Con­nect 2-1 at Knowles Street Ground in Curepe thanks to a brace from Tarik Nicholls in the 21st and 69th min­utes while Corie Dhanoolal had briefly tied up the score at 1-1 in the 66tth.

The win im­proved CG Po­sei­don to 15 points from their six match­es, one more than Mara­cas Unit­ed while de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Mal­oney Ea­gles FC is third with 13 fol­lowed by East­ern Con­nect with ten.

In the oth­er match in Group A, Mal­oney Ea­gles and Mara­cas Unit­ed played to a 2-2 draw at Mal­oney Recre­ation Ground with Daniel Warn­er's dou­ble for the for­mer in the 19th and 52nd min­utes be­ing can­celled out by ef­forts from Frankie Castil­lo in the 72nd, and Ap­ple­white Tishard four mi9nutes in­to in­jury time for the vis­i­tors.

In Group B, Omari Leza­ma fired in a pair of goals in the 30th and 85th min­utes to lead Nat­ur­al FC to an en­ter­tain­ing 4-2 tri­umph over Trinci­ty Na­tion­als at Ed­die Hart Ground, Tu­na­puna and up to the sec­ond spot with ten points from six match­es, five be­hind un­beat­en Mal­abar Young Stars, wo have a match in hand.

Joshua Car­ring­ton had opened the scor­ing for Nat­ur­al FC and Ja­heim Prescott al­so net­ted in the 72nd while An­drew War­rick scored twice for Trinci­ty Na­tion­als, in the sixth and 40th min­utes to be lev­el at the half-time at 2-2, while Jardel John got the third item in the 66th.

Al­so in Group B, Mikheil Pe­ters fired in a hat-trick in the third, 37th and 60th min­utes and Nyrek Thorn­hill a dou­ble in the 51st and 85th in their 5-1 spank­ing of Creek SCC at George Boyce Recre­ation Ground, Ari­ma with Abra­ham Raphael net­ting a 30th minute con­so­la­tion.
