The pairs of Jerome Morrison and Jahreef Miguel (men) and Kaylon Cruickshank/Malika Davidson (women) were crowned champions when the two-day second leg of the T&T Volleyball Federation (TTVF) Trinbago Beach Volleyball Tour Women’s Open Division ended at Misson Beach, Toco, on Monday.
In the final of the men’s seven-team competition, the second-ranked pair of Morrison and Miguel came from a set down to defeat top-seeded Kareem Thomas/Tevin Edwards 17-21, 21-19, 15-11.
When the semifinals were held, Morrison and Miguel were also forced to rally from behind to get the better of Steffon Hutson and Stephen Enile 21-23, 21-16, 15-6, while Thomas and Edwards humbled Jeremiah Jankey and his brother Josiah Jankey 21-18, 21-16.

Because of their impressive record in the group stages, Morrison and Miguel topped the group stage earlier and secured a direct path to the semifinals, while Thomas and Edwards dumped Davidson and Persaud 9-21, 28-26, 15-13; the Jankeys whipped Dyer and Auguste 21-8, 21-9; and Hutson and Enile battled past Williams and Sanior 21-19, 21-15 in the three other quarterfinals.
