The Management, staff and members of the Queen's Park Cricket Club wish to extend sincerest congratulations to skipper Kieron Pollard and the entire Trinbago knight Riders (TKR) squad on their resounding victory in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) final against a very plucky St Lucia Zouks outfit on Thursday. TKR won by eight wickets.

The professionalism and organisation exhibited by the TKR players throughout the tournament were exemplary. By winning all 12 games during the tournament they achieved what no other franchise team has been able to do since the inception of the CPL . It took good planning , determination, commitment and total concentration from a well oiled unit during a difficult tournament in difficult times.

Queen's Park Cricket Club is also extremely proud of the fact that we had nine players (Kieron Pollard, Dwayne & Darren Bravo, Sunil Narine, Akeal Hosein, Khary Pierre, Anderson Phillip, Tion Webster and Jayden Seales, and three officials (Colin Borde, Imran Jan and Kevon Cooper) representing the winning franchise TKR.

In addition the club would like to single out four more of our players Joshua da Silva and Jon Russ Jaggessar with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Nicholas Pooran and Kissoondath Magram with the Guyana Amazon Warriors. A total of 13 players and three officials from Queen's Park Cricket Club - a feat which no other Caribbean club has matched in the histoty of the CPL.

Special congratulations should also go out to Nicholas Pooran on being the only centurion of the tournament. To Dwayne Bravo on his remarkable achievements of capturing 500 T20 and 100 CPL wickets in his career and to skipper Pollard on playing in 500 T20 games.

We also wish to thank our hard working ground staff and maintenance staff for a wonderful job under trying and tough circumstances given the weather and the bio secure arrangements in which the tournament was being played.

It is indeed gratifying that the TKR and the CPL have somewhat lifted the doom and gloom during this pandemic and have made us all smile.
