Trinidad and To­ba­go’s Jereem "The Dream" Richards earned a third-place fin­ish in the men's 400 me­tres, clock­ing 44.23 sec­onds at the World Ath­let­ics Ul­ti­mate Cham­pi­onship in Bu­dapest, Hun­gary on Sat­ur­day.

​The one-lap event was won by Botswana’s world cham­pi­on Collen Ke­bi­nat­shipi, who lived up to his sta­tus as the event favourite by storm­ing to the ti­tle in a na­tion­al record of 43.39, se­cur­ing sole own­er­ship of fifth place on the world all-time list.

​USA’s Rai Ben­jamin took sec­ond place in 44.15 be­fore shift­ing his fo­cus to the 400m hur­dles lat­er in the cham­pi­onship.
