San Juan North Sec­ondary made his­to­ry at the In­ter-Col Nos­tal­gia Foot­ball Fes­ti­val when they won all four ti­tles at stake among the three di­vi­sions con­test­ed at the St George's Col­lege Ground, Sixth Av­enue, Barataria on Sat­ur­day.

This was af­ter San Juan North Sec­ondary won the Over-35, Over-45 and Over-55 round-robin league ti­tles con­test­ed over 20 min­utes per match, as well as the Over-55 knock­out crown.

In the four-team Over-35 Di­vi­sion, the Eli­jah Man­ners-led San Juan North topped the stand­ings in­spired by the dis­play of even­tu­al "Most Valu­able Play­er" award re­cip­i­ent Keron Mitchell, with out­right wins over St An­tho­ny's Col­lege (3-0) by de­fault, and Fa­ti­ma Col­lege (3-0) as well as a 1-0 penal­ty-kicks tri­umph over East Mu­cu­rapo Sec­ondary for two points af­ter a 1-1 draw in reg­u­la­tion time.

At the end of the round-robin stage, San Juan North Sec­ondary tal­lied eight points from their three match­es, one more than East Mu­cu­rapo Sec­ondary, who al­so won by de­fault over St An­tho­ny's Col­lege (3-0) and bat­tled past neigh­bours Fa­ti­ma Col­lege 6-5 while pick­ing up one point from their penal­ty-kicks loss to the even­tu­al cham­pi­ons.

The Over-45 Di­vi­sion com­pe­ti­tion al­so saw the Mar­vin Oliv­er and Stephan David-led San Juan North Sec­ondary top­ping the sev­en team se­ries with out­right vic­to­ries over Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege of San Fer­nan­do (5-0), Fa­ti­ma Col­lege (2-0), St Mary's Col­lege (1-0), East Mu­cu­rapo Sec­ondary (5-0) and Na­pari­ma Col­lege (4-2) be­fore end­ing off with a 1-0 penal­ty-kicks de­feat of St An­tho­ny's Col­lege af­ter both teams bat­tled to a 1-1 draw.

With the five out­right wins and the penal­ty-kick tri­umph, San Juan North Sec­ondary tal­lied 17 points, five more than East Mu­cu­rapo Sec­ondary who had wins over St An­tho­ny's Col­lege (3-0), Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege (1-0), and Na­pari­ma Col­lege (5-1) to­geth­er with a penal­ty-kicks vic­to­ry over St Mary's Col­lege 1-0 af­ter a 1-1 dead­lock, and a 2-3 penal­ty-kicks loss against zon­al ri­val Fa­ti­ma Col­lege fol­low­ing a 2-2 draw.

The Over-55 Di­vi­sion was the most keen­ly con­test­ed, with the ti­tle de­cider go­ing down to the fi­nal match be­tween San Juan North Sec­ondary (17 points) and St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary (16 points), with the lat­ter need­ing an out­right win to snatch the crown.

In the end, St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary man­aged to se­cure a sud­den-death 4-3 penal­ty-kicks win over San Juan North af­ter a goal­less draw, with the point earned, San Juan North Sec­ondary end­ed with 18 points, the same as St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary, but with a su­pe­ri­or goal-dif­fer­ence of plus-13 to the 'Green Ma­chine' plus-sev­en.

In their ear­li­er match­es, San Juan North Sec­ondary de­feat­ed Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege of San Fer­nan­do (3-0) by de­fault, John Don­ald­son Tech­ni­cal In­sti­tute 1-0 on penal­ty-kicks af­ter a 0-0 draw, Fa­ti­ma Col­lege 3-0, Na­pari­ma Col­lege 1-0, and Tran­quil­li­ty Sec­ondary, 1-0 as well.

St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary, mean­while, beat Na­pari­ma Col­lege 2-1 on penal­ty-kicks af­ter a 0-0 draw, Tran­quil­li­ty Sec­ondary 1-0, Fa­ti­ma Col­lege 1-0 on penal­ty-kicks af­ter a 1-1 draw, Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege 3-0 (by de­fault), John Don­ald­son Tech­ni­cal In­sti­tute 1-0 and St Mary's Col­lege 3-1.

In the knock­out fi­nal, San Juan North Sec­ondary got the bet­ter of St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary 1-0.

The day's ac­tiv­i­ties were al­so used to high­light the con­tri­bu­tions of Lenox Ronald Greenidge, Ever­ad Lewis and Dr Ken Butch­er by Earl "Man­go" Pierre, the pres­i­dent of the T&T Play­ers As­so­ci­a­tion.

Pierre not­ed that the awards were in recog­ni­tion of their play­ers' con­tri­bu­tion to the de­vel­op­ment of for­mer USA-based T&T play­ers, not just on the field of play, but in terms of their over­all growth and life in gen­er­al.
