Warriors celebrate after winning their first ever BIM10 cricket title.

BRIDGETOWN – Raymond Kellman smashed a match winning half century to lead Warriors to an exciting seven wicket win over Settlers and their first ever BIM10 cricket title here at the Windward Cricket Ground in Barbados on Sunday.

Opening the batting, Kellman tore the Settlers’ bowling to shreds during a knock of 64 off 27 balls, inclusive of six sixes and five fours and his Player-of-the-Match performance helped Warriors to 122 for three off 9.5 overs in pursuit of Settlers’ 120 for three.

Earlier, Kevin Stoute topscored with 47 from 27 balls and captain Nicholas Kirton made an unbeaten 45 from 17 balls to help Settlers get up to their eventual total.

However, Kellman and captain Jonathan Drakes put on 50 runs for the opening partnership in three overs for the Warriors, before Kellman joined forces with Marrodon Bend, who scored an unbeaten 29 from 17 balls, and the pair added another 50 runs.

When Kellman was run out with three balls left in the contest, Bend ensured there would be no three-peat by the Settlers, taking his team over the line with one ball to spare.
