Netherlands Antilles sprinter Rachmil van Lamoen is one of the hot prospects expected to take part in the Pan Am Junior Track and Field Championships (July 31-August 1) at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucarapo.
Rachmil, started his career at 10 years old is currently the Dutch national junior champion in both the 100 and 200-metres event.
He boasts of a personal best of 10.30 seconds in the 100m and 20.88 in the 200m. His 20.88 is the second best time in the Dutch history for juniors.
His first international athletics competition was the World Youth Championships in Ostrava in 2007. He only competed in the 100m at the event recording 11.25.
