Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege will kick off its de­fence of the South Zone Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League Co­ca-Co­la In­ter-Col ti­tle when it faces Fyz­abad in the first match of a dou­ble-head­er to­day. The clash is at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Mara­bel­la from 3pm. Pre­sen­ta­tion un­der the guid­ance of coach Sean Coop­er has al­ready de­throned Na­pari­ma as zon­al league win­ner this sea­son. How­ev­er, Coop­er and his squad is com­ing off a 2-0 loss to St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary in the na­tion­al BG T&T "Big Five" fi­nal last Tues­day and will be ea­ger to re­bound against the zon­al Se­nior Di­vi­sion win­ner.

Fyz­abad re­placed Pleas­antville as win­ner of the Se­nior Di­vi­sion af­ter the lat­ter was dis­qual­i­fied for us­ing an il­leg­i­ble play­er dur­ing the sea­son. Two hours lat­er, Princes Town and Shi­va Boys meet in the oth­er quar­ter­fi­nal at the same venue. Dur­ing the zon­al league, Princes Town and Shi­va split their re­sults with the lat­ter win­ning the first match 2-0 while Princes Town won the sec­ond round clash 1-0 which will set the stage for an in­ter­est­ing bat­tle.

The win­ner of to­day's match­es will meet in the sec­ond zon­al semi­fi­nal on Thurs­day at the same venue while Siparia and Na­pari­ma, win­ner in their quar­ter­fi­nal match­es last Thurs­day, clash in the oth­er. The Cen­tral Zone will al­so get go­ing with a quar­ter­fi­nal dou­ble-head­er at the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um, Cou­va. In the first match from 3 pm, Mara­bel­la comes up against Se­nior Di­vi­sion cham­pi­ons Tabaquite, while Gas­par­il­lo clash­es with Wa­ter­loo in the sec­ond match. In their two en­coun­ters so far this sea­son, Gas­par­il­lo whipped Wa­ter­loo 3-1 while the oth­er end­ed in a 1-1 draw.
