?Open letter to Ag Commissioner of Police James Philbert: On October 16, due to the quick response of your officers stationed at the Arouca Police Station and the patrol unit at Trincity Mall at the time, a man who was attempting to break into my house was apprehended. The man was spotted by passers-by who called the police. I was at the mall at the time and witnessed your officers speeding away. I was informed later on that they were responding to the call of an attempted break-in–at my home. Upon arrival at my home I was told that the officers arrived on the scene and caught the man in action. My windows were open and he was ready to attempt an entry.

It was due to their swift action that my home was not invaded and I was not made to suffer the loss of my hard-earned possessions. By their actions your men prevented a great deal of pain and suffering and I am very grateful. I also extend my appreciation for the service provided thereafter. Due to their feedback I am now able to upgrade the security system at my home. On behalf of my family I extend our greatest appreciation for the outstanding work of your officers.
