Ten-year-old Anna-Lee Cadogan rose to the challenge and was crowned the second Miss Little Christmas Claxton Bay on December 13. Cadogan, a pupil of the St Gabriel's RC School in San Fernando, and her seven other little counterparts competed in four segments with a Biblical twist, at Plasiance Regional Complex at Plasiance Park. The pageant was managed by Norma Bramble-Joseph and Associates of the First Impression Brash and Sassy Agency.
With Christmas in mind, the pageant afforded the agency the chance to include a segment of the show representing names from the Bible. Each girl depicted a Biblical woman and her contribution.
The girls displayed their knowledge of each Biblical woman. The show also saw the contestants interpret the late pop icon, Michael Jackson from his early childhood career to the time of his passing.
Some of Jackson's signature classics like Rockin' Robin, ABC, Thriller, Will You be There and Beat It held the attention of the applauding audience. This segment was followed by a fusion of talent in song and dance. Then, the girls paraded in beautiful evening gowns consistent with the colours associated with Christmas. In the end, Cadogan sat on her little throne as the overall winner, with Annalyea Daniel, Tamia Toby and Shivonne Nelson as first, second and third runners-up, respectively.
