"Bell" figures prominently on the all-weather racecards at Wolverhampton and Southwell today. "Boy" what a chance of a double. Only seven go to post for the Maiden Stakes over six furlongs of Dunstall Park polytrack, Boy The Bell should win but is trained by ex-jumps jockey, Jamie Osborne, whose lack of success in this country has been evident for some time and is somewhat off-putting, for one who treats punting seriously. Readers need to be aware of my thoughts on trainers and jockeys. What's the point of hiding important information?
Despite my trepidation, Boy The Bell has to be selected. Apart from consistent, hitherto luckless Sternlight, there simply isn't a?danger, on my time-handicap, to the mount of Shane Kelly, one of the best jockeys around.
So is Hayley Turner, stable-jockey of Michael Bell, who trains Royal Bet, a real special in the Betdaq Handicap over 11 furlongs. Although Royal Bet hasn't been out for 113 days, he's clear best-in on the TH and Ding Dong never?sends a thoroughbred to the races, with a fitness issue. A good 'Bet!' Not an easy day. I'll confine seriousness to the?aforementioned selections.
