Co­me­di­an Learie Joseph has a spe­cial treat in store for the na­tion's moth­ers over the com­ing week­end when he pro­vides a respite from the fierce dra­ma of the Gen­er­al Elec­tions cam­paign trail.

Joseph presents from to­day through Sun­day a pro­duc­tion en­ti­tled Every­body Loves Learie, fea­tur­ing shows at the Na­pari­ma Bowl, San Fer­nan­do, this evening; Crowne Plaza, Port-of-Spain, to­mor­row; and, Cen­ter Pointe Mall, Ch­agua­nas, on Sun­day. This pro­duc­tion is spe­cial­ly de­signed for moth­ers, with Joseph steer­ing away from po­lit­i­cal is­sues of any kind what­so­ev­er. Joseph said he is do­ing this be­cause he be­lieves that with the hap­pen­ings on the hus­tings be­ing splashed all over the me­dia and ex­plored by fel­low co­me­di­ans and ca­lyp­so­ni­ans, peo­ple will ap­pre­ci­ate a break. Sev­er­al new skits have been de­vel­oped for Every­body Loves Learie, in­clud­ing one ex­plor­ing how dif­fi­cult it can be to re­cov­er mon­ey from peo­ple you lent it to.

Joseph will al­so take a new look at re­la­tion­ships be­tween men and women as well as how can one please every­one when cook­ing.

Join­ing Joseph for these shows are De­lores Alexan­der and The Saint. Pop­u­lar im­per­son­ator Gary Ja­grup, who will present sev­er­al new per­son­al­i­ties, is sched­uled to make a spe­cial ap­pear­ance. Al­so on the cast are The Lin­guist and Bernard the En­forcer, along with oth­er sur­prise guests. This Moth­er's Day se­ries rep­re­sents the kick-off of Joseph's an­nu­al is­land-wide tour, which will see the en­ter­tain­er vis­it­ing ur­ban and rur­al com­mu­ni­ties through­out T&T. One spe­cial mo­ment that will on­ly be seen at this week­end's se­ries of shows will be Joseph ser­e­nad­ing the moth­ers in the au­di­ence with a very spe­cial song per­formed in a most unique fash­ion.
