Anil Roberts, Min­is­ter of Sports and Youth Af­fairs, is ex­pect­ed to de­liv­er the fea­ture ad­dress at the Emer­ald Apart­ments and Plaza East­ern Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (EFA) 2009 awards cer­e­mo­ny and of­fi­cial open­ing cer­e­mo­ny for the 2010 sea­son on Sat­ur­day.

The awards func­tion is card­ed for the Gar­den Sanc­tu­ary, Dr Joao Have­lange Cen­tre of Ex­cel­lence while the of­fi­cial sea­son open­er takes place at the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Ma­coya, re­spec­tive­ly from 1pm.

Roberts will al­so join EFA pres­i­dent, Lennox Wat­son, and chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of Emer­ald Apart­ments and Plaza, Dar­ryl Warn­er for the in­spec­tion of the pa­rade of all par­tic­i­pat­ing teams in this year's re­spec­tive com­pe­ti­tions.

He will of­fi­cial­ly kick off the first match be­tween,Val­trin Unit­ed and Joe Pub­lic for the Ver­non Bain Chal­lenge Tro­phy. Fi­fa Vice-Pres­i­dent and Con­ca­caf boss, Min­is­ter of Works and Trans­port, Jack Warn­er has al­so been in­vit­ed.
