A 31-year-old Malick man was shot dead in front his Seventh Avenue home on Wednesday as gang warfare continued to plague the community.
Solomon Faustin, a "PH" driver, was shot several times while washing a car outside his house at Second Hill, Morvant.
Two other men, Akile Joseph and Kester Joseph, were also injured while liming outside the garage, which was owned by Faustin.
According to police reports, around 12.30 pm two armed men approached the garage and opened fire on the group, hitting them about the body. The gunmen then fled the scene
The injured men managed to drag themselves into a vehicle which was parked near the garage.
Residents who heard the commotion immediately notified the police.
Faustin died at the scene.
Officers of the Morvant CID and Crime Scene Unit responded. Several spent shells were recovered from the crime scene.
Faustin's body was viewed by the district medical officer who ordered its removal to the Forensic Science Centre, St James, for an autopsy which will be done today.
Police said no one was held in connection with the shooting.
Investigators said there were three shootings earlier that morning and there was an ongoing gang war between gangs in Malick and Sunshine Avenue.
Officers of the Morvant CID are continuing investigations.
