A 31-year-old Mal­ick man was shot dead in front his Sev­enth Av­enue home on Wednes­day as gang war­fare con­tin­ued to plague the com­mu­ni­ty.

Solomon Faustin, a "PH" dri­ver, was shot sev­er­al times while wash­ing a car out­side his house at Sec­ond Hill, Mor­vant.

Two oth­er men, Ak­ile Joseph and Kester Joseph, were al­so in­jured while lim­ing out­side the garage, which was owned by Faustin.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, around 12.30 pm two armed men ap­proached the garage and opened fire on the group, hit­ting them about the body. The gun­men then fled the scene

The in­jured men man­aged to drag them­selves in­to a ve­hi­cle which was parked near the garage.

Res­i­dents who heard the com­mo­tion im­me­di­ate­ly no­ti­fied the po­lice.

Faustin died at the scene.

Of­fi­cers of the Mor­vant CID and Crime Scene Unit re­spond­ed. Sev­er­al spent shells were re­cov­ered from the crime scene.

Faustin's body was viewed by the dis­trict med­ical of­fi­cer who or­dered its re­moval to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre, St James, for an au­top­sy which will be done to­day.

Po­lice said no one was held in con­nec­tion with the shoot­ing.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said there were three shoot­ings ear­li­er that morn­ing and there was an on­go­ing gang war be­tween gangs in Mal­ick and Sun­shine Av­enue.

Of­fi­cers of the Mor­vant CID are con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
