Aiki­do Mas­ter Kyoshi Jose An­drade, sev­enth Dan, con­duct­ed a suc­cess­ful sem­i­nar re­cent­ly for mem­bers of the T&T Karate Fed­er­a­tion (TTKF).

Since there are no ac­cred­it­ed Aiki­do in­struc­tors in the coun­try, there was much in­ter­est among the par­tic­i­pants at the sem­i­nar. An­drade was very im­pressed with the TTKF in­struc­tors, which in­clud­ed John Ramirez, Rod­ney Ram­lal, Ja­son Ryan Wallen and Michael Cromwell.

An­drade has been prac­tis­ing Aiki­do for more than 40 years in USA, af­ter em­i­grat­ing from Cu­ba with his par­ents and sis­ter. In the year 2000, Sen­sei An­drade was in­duct­ed in­to the Amer­i­can Fed­er­a­tion of Mar­tial Arts Hall of Fame as a Na­tion­al In­struc­tor. In the same year, he was vot­ed in­to the Unit­ed In­ter­na­tion­al Kung Fu Fed­er­a­tion Hall of Fame as Sen­sei of the year and was in­duct­ed in­to the World Head of Fam­i­ly Soke­ship Coun­cil Mar­tial Arts Hall of Fame as Mil­len­ni­um Mas­ter In­struc­tor of the year.

An­drade is the founder and di­rec­tor of Aiki­do Ten­shinkai of Or­lan­do, Flori­da (www.aikiten­shi.net). He is al­so a mem­ber of the World Unit­ed Karate Or­ga­ni­za­tion (WUKO).

The Aiki­do Mas­ter is look­ing to ex­pand his or­ga­ni­za­tion to oth­er Caribbean coun­tries.
