Aikido Master Kyoshi Jose Andrade, seventh Dan, conducted a successful seminar recently for members of the T&T Karate Federation (TTKF).
Since there are no accredited Aikido instructors in the country, there was much interest among the participants at the seminar. Andrade was very impressed with the TTKF instructors, which included John Ramirez, Rodney Ramlal, Jason Ryan Wallen and Michael Cromwell.
Andrade has been practising Aikido for more than 40 years in USA, after emigrating from Cuba with his parents and sister. In the year 2000, Sensei Andrade was inducted into the American Federation of Martial Arts Hall of Fame as a National Instructor. In the same year, he was voted into the United International Kung Fu Federation Hall of Fame as Sensei of the year and was inducted into the World Head of Family Sokeship Council Martial Arts Hall of Fame as Millennium Master Instructor of the year.
Andrade is the founder and director of Aikido Tenshinkai of Orlando, Florida (www.aikitenshi.net). He is also a member of the World United Karate Organization (WUKO).
The Aikido Master is looking to expand his organization to other Caribbean countries.
