Known as one of south's most en­er­getic J'Ou­vert bands, Un­der­cov­er Pro­mo­tions is set to flood the streets of San Fer­nan­do with black and white, with its 2011 pre­sen­ta­tion, Them Crazy 4 Cars. Over the years, the band, which boasts of be­ing one of the biggest in south, has placed in the top three as the city's best over the past decade. Last Fri­day hun­dreds of peo­ple gath­ered out­side the Co­coyea Su­per­mar­ket as the band launched in fine style with sev­er­al top-notch so­ca per­for­mances. So­ca star Farmer Nap­py had the crowd in a fren­zy with sen­sa­tion­al per­for­mances of his 2011 and 2012 tunes. Ren­der­ing the song Sur­ren­der, the farmer had pa­trons win­ing un­con­trol­lably, while he in­formed pa­trons that this year's So­ca Monarch ti­tle was go­ing to be his. Adding to the fun was Gen­er­al Grant, who belt­ed out long-time hits such as The Shot Call. Co­coyea's lo­cal artistes and so­ca stars in their own right, Dev and Klassy had sup­port­ers jump­ing and wav­ing with their catchy 2012 dit­ty, Drink­ing Part­ner.

Fol­low­ing the per­for­mances, the sexy che­quered out­fits for Car­ni­val Mon­day morn­ing were un­leashed.

Com­mit­tee mem­ber An­tho­ny Gumbs said the con­cept of this year's pre­sen­ta­tion stemmed from the coun­try's cur­rent state of af­fairs. He said every­thing seemed to be in black and white, and cit­i­zens were con­fused. This, he said, was the rea­son for the theme Them Crazy 4 Cars. The band boasts of tight se­cu­ri­ty, a well-stocked bar be­fore hit­ting the street on J'Ou­vert morn­ing and two 40-foot mu­sic trucks. Mu­sic will be pro­vid­ed by Yung Gunz In­ter­na­tion­al and Scor­pi­on Songs. Gumbs promised mas­quer­aders a great time.
