Ex-minister to AG: What about scrap iron dealers?

For­mer Le­gal Af­fairs Min­is­ter Pe­ter Tay­lor has es­tab­lish a group known as Unit­ed Free Ob­jec­tive Move­ment.He told a news con­fer­ence at his Queen's Park East of­fice yes­ter­day that in­cum­bent or­gan­i­sa­tions, such as the Peo­ple's Part­ner­ship Gov­ern­ment, had em­barked on elab­o­rate pub­lic re­la­tions pro­grammes.

He said it was time for the pop­u­la­tion to think for them­selves.He said cit­i­zens should think crit­i­cal­ly about the poli­cies and pro­grammes of the Gov­ern­ment.He said the Au­gust 21 de­c­la­ra­tion of the state of emer­gency was in­ef­fec­tive in the fight against crime.

Tay­lor called on the At­tor­ney Gen­er­al to ho­n­our a promise to com­pen­sate the scrap iron deal­ers at Beetham Gar­dens whose scrap iron was tak­en by the law en­force­ment of­fi­cers dur­ing the state of emer­gency.
