After igniting a viral storm with Done With Your Ex, Ghanaian-British hitmaker MOLIY is teaming up with Trinidad and Tobago’s dancer and singer Gladdest for a remix of two social media-driven anthems—Done With Your Ex and Shake It To The Max.
The remix, Gladdest revealed, will arrive just before MOLIY travels to Trinidad for the One Caribbean Music Festival.
“Ghana and Trinidad and Tobago will be teaming up for this remix,” said Gladdest. “The remix will be out before MOLIY lands in Trinidad for the One Caribbean Music Festival. I will be meeting her for the first time then.”
Shake It to the Max Riddim (Fly) was originally released in November 2024 by MOLIY and producer Silent Addy.
Shake It To The Max gained traction on social media earlier this year after a remix featuring Jamaican artistes Shenseea and Skillibeng dropped in March 2025. That version has since soared to number one on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart, marking a career first for MOLIY, Silent Addy, Shenseea, and Skillibeng.
Gladdest, whose real name is Haddyah Cyrus, jumped on the riddim with her freestyle Done With Your Ex. Her version sparked a viral TikTok dance challenge, with over 2.5 million user-generated videos. The track has also amassed 4.5 million views on YouTube.
“It’s an empowerment song to help people remember that sometimes a break-up is not a bad thing,” said Gladdest.
“Sometimes it’s a blessing, sometimes it’s the beginning of a next chapter in your life. And then sometimes it is the beginning of your success story.”
Gladdest credits her success to her mother, whose support and example have long inspired her.
“Since in my early teens I always felt that women were so powerful and that stemmed from seeing my mom handle situations,” added Gladdest.
“Women go through so much behind closed doors, but stand strong and handle things. That encourages me to be an advocate for women.”
Done With Your Ex was written by Gladdest’s manager, Ryan, of Content King Creations. Gladdest initially rose to fame as a dancer on social media, which led to choreography gigs for major dancehall artistes, including Vybz Kartel, Skeng, and Valiant.
“I started dancing when I was at Bishop Anstey East High,” said Gladdest.
“From there, I started posting my videos on social media. That’s how I gained my supporters. Done With Your Ex is the second song I’ve done for 2025. The first song Mind Your Business was dropped during Carnival. It did its wave, and I got several opportunities. But when Done With Your Ex was released and we started promoting it, it skyrocketed. The song is relatable. Many people deal with their breakups behind closed doors. This song gives you a voice.”
Several high-profile figures have since joined the Done With Your Ex trend, including singer-songwriter Ciara, comedian B Simone, actress Claire Holt, comedian and actor King Bach, and numerous YouTubers and TikTok influencers.
“When Ciara did it, I was like ‘the heck’,” exclaimed Gladdest.
“I remember when I was dancing to Level up, level up, level up, level up, level up. I was like ‘Whaaattt’. It was really something, I was like ‘Wow, this song is really making waves’. And in the comments section, people were writing that this is a really good song for her because of her experiences in life.”
While music and entertainment have taken centre stage in her life, Gladdest had once set her sights on becoming the Governor of the Central Bank.
“I was able to balance academics and dance,” she said.
“I was a straight A student finishing school with nine passes, while juggling my extra-curricular activities–track and field, football and dance. Also, the social and drama clubs. I am very happy that I had my mom because my dad felt that I needed to focus on academics.
“I have two sides–the artistic, creative side and the nerdy side. I love finance and accounting, but my passion for dance was more powerful; accounting, however, helps me in the entertainment field.”
As Done With Your Ex continues to trend globally, Gladdest is already being booked for a tour across the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
