Sagi­cor branch man­ag­er Wayne Mo­hammed has been ap­point­ed to the Mil­lion Dol­lar Round Ta­ble’s (MDRT) mem­ber­ship com­mu­ni­ca­tions com­mit­tee as the com­pa­ny chair for the or­gan­i­sa­tion, ef­fec­tive Sep­tem­ber 1.

Mo­hammed be­gan his ca­reer in in­sur­ance sales 35 years ago. Since then, he has won nu­mer­ous com­pa­ny and in­dus­try awards, as well as qual­i­fy­ing for MDRT on sev­en oc­ca­sions. Pri­or to his Jan­u­ary 2021 ap­point­ment as branch man­ag­er, he al­so copped the agency of the year award in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2020.

He said: “I am ho­n­oured to serve as MDRT chair for Sagi­cor. The pur­pose of life is to con­tribute in some way to mak­ing things bet­ter. As chair, I will have the op­por­tu­ni­ty to en­gage with up-and-com­ing fi­nan­cial ad­vi­sors, and even vet­er­ans in the in­dus­try, and show them how MDRT can add val­ue to their lives, as well as bring even more op­por­tu­ni­ties. Hav­ing qual­i­fied for MDRT my­self, I can speak au­then­ti­cal­ly to that ex­pe­ri­ence.”

As chair, Mo­hammed will be re­spon­si­ble for “pro­mot­ing MDRT and com­mu­ni­cat­ing in­for­ma­tion to cur­rent and as­pir­ing mem­bers, com­pa­nies, and oth­er in­dus­try or­gan­i­sa­tions and re­port­ing the needs and con­cerns of mem­bers to the MDRT ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee and MDRT head­quar­ters.”

Found­ed in 1927, MDRT is a glob­al, in­de­pen­dent as­so­ci­a­tion of the world’s lead­ing life in­sur­ance and fi­nan­cial ser­vices pro­fes­sion­als from more than 500 com­pa­nies in 70 na­tions and ter­ri­to­ries.
