Steel Foundation, a women’s non-governmental organisation, held their Christmas treat for children of Damarie Hill, Guaico, Sangre Grande and its environs on Sunday at the Damarie Hill Recreation Ground, Sangre Grande.
Chairperson of Steel’s Foundation, Abigail Quashie said her organisation, which consists of women, is focused on training women to be independent.
Quashie said they catered to over 400 children, from babies to 12 years old. Each child received a Christmas gift and a bag full of goodies. The children also received ice cream, popcorn, cakes, hot dogs, sandwiches and cotton candy. Santa Claus and Marshall from PAW Patrol interacted and socialized with the children.
The children enjoyed a bouncy castle in addition to other games.
A popular DJ provided music for the children’s Christmas treat.
