Scattered showers could not stop Prestige ISSHO, the Carnival fete held this year at Skinner Park, San Fernando, on Sunday.
Issho—which translates from Japanese as “together”—lived up to its name, blending food, drinks, music and high-energy partying into an eclectic experience that left patrons wanting more.
The annual all-inclusive event saw hundreds revelling in the rain as entertainers Ravi B and Karma, Kes The Band, Voice, Full Blown, Mical Teja, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons-Alvarez delivered adrenaline-charged performances. However, one of the standout moments of the night came from soca star Rodney “Benjai” Le Blanc, who made waves with his return to the stage and had the crowd in the palm of his hands, particularly during his 2026 collaboration with Kes, Carnival Friend.
