It was a vibrant celebration of colour, creativity, and Caribbean flair at the Creative Arts Centre in San Fernando when fashion enthusiasts came together to mark Republic Day in unforgettable style.
Seven bold and brilliant designers took to the runway, dazzling the crowd with collections that were as unique as they were spectacular. The production, titled “Stories from in de OLD House,” was the vision of renowned designer and brand owner Deron Attzs, who also directed the show.
From the moment guests arrived, they were transported into a nostalgic Trinbagonian setting, greeted with traditional drinks like mauby, sorrel, and lime juice. The venue had been transformed into a charming old-time Trinidadian home, complete with rustic décor and vintage accents—perfectly setting the scene for an evening of fashion and storytelling.
The runway came alive as BholDesigns opened the show with her debut collection, earning enthusiastic cheers for her fresh perspective and bold designs. She was followed by the sophisticated Arron Moneer, the dynamic Josiah Fashion House, the earthy elegance of Johari, the eclectic creations of Bees Accessories Style, the edgy flair of Buffalo Soldier, and finally, the statement-making pieces from DADL Clothing Label.
But the fashion was only part of the spectacle. Soca star Terri Lyons and performer Ancil Valley kept the energy high with electrifying performances, proving this was more than a runway—it was a full cultural celebration.
Fashion met storytelling, and tradition intertwined with modern flair. “Stories from in de OLD House” was more than a fashion show—it was a stylish journey through Trinbago’s past, present, and fabulously fashionable future.
