Ministry of Agriculture Land and Fisheries held an outreach agriculture programme at Plum Mitan on May 23 for primary and secondary schools in the county of St Andrew/St David. They were taken to tour the fields of the Nariva Swamp, the two water pumps that supply water to farmers and other places of interest.
A watermelon eating competition, the most exciting event of the day, was won by Mekhi Henry, a pupil of Sangre Grande RC School.
