Min­istry of Agri­cul­ture Land and Fish­eries held an out­reach agri­cul­ture pro­gramme at Plum Mi­tan on May 23 for pri­ma­ry and sec­ondary schools in the coun­ty of St An­drew/St David. They were tak­en to tour the fields of the Nar­i­va Swamp, the two wa­ter pumps that sup­ply wa­ter to farm­ers and oth­er places of in­ter­est.

A wa­ter­mel­on eat­ing com­pe­ti­tion, the most ex­cit­ing event of the day, was won by Mekhi Hen­ry, a pupil of San­gre Grande RC School.
