Hardbargain Primary School’s Poolmatee Bachoo, right, receives a donation of books from Trinre’s human resource and administration manager Simone Aguilera-Hay.

Trinre Insurance continues to deliver on its commitment to promote literacy, particularly among young students across T&T.

In partnership with United Way T&T, nearly 200 books were recently donated to the Hardbargain Government Primary School’s library. This initiative aimed to provide material resources to foster literacy development and improvement and inspire a love for reading among students of this rural community.

The Hardbargain Government Primary School has dutifully and admirably served its community for generations.

Despite facing challenges with funding and access to resources often experienced by rural schools, this institution remains dedicated to providing quality educational programmes and activities to serve the children in its community.

Recognising the need to strengthen the diversity of available literature, a wide selection of books was provided by Trinre in order to advance the students’ technical skills, as well as expand their imagination and augment their ability to achieve success in the relevant areas of study.

The selection featured educational books and an assortment of story books such as Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton classics to appeal to students at each primary level.

The introduction of new reading material also aided in the revival of the school library’s lending system, giving students an opportunity to learn and explore new worlds beyond the school’s walls.

Speaking at the handing over, Trinre marketing and customer experience manager Vinai Narace said, “Trinre believes that every child deserves an opportunity to excel, regardless of their financial background. We hope to inspire a lifelong love for reading in these students and will continue to support the educational and personal development of our nation’s youth through literacy.”
