President of the T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce Sonji Pierre-Chase gave her inaugural speech at the chamber’s annual business meeting and cocktail reception held on April 2 at the Hyatt Regency, Port-of-Spain.
Pierre-Chase reaffirmed, “When I say we don’t just talk, we act. I can proudly say today that, over the last 146 years, we have assiduously advocated for our members and, by extension, all businesses. Whether lobbying for policy reforms, legislative changes, improvements in the ease of doing business, or new measures that contribute to economic growth, we have done it and will continue to do so.”
Pierre-Chase replaced Kiran Maharaj who completed two terms and will continue to serve as director and board champion of the Orange Economy Committee.
