Unilever Caribbean Ltd has been recognised by SWF&CO public relations for its “Innovation in Sustainable Products for Living.”
The award was announced during SWF&CO’s recent 30th anniversary celebrations, in which the PR firm expressed gratitude to its partners and clients and acknowledged outstanding achievements.
According to a statement from SWF, Unilever Caribbean Ltd centres its work around the core purpose of making sustainable living commonplace in the Caribbean.
“The International Unilever Group has invested heavily in its clean future research strategy which aims to rethink plastic packaging, replace the use of fossil-fuel derived carbon with renewable or recycled carbon in its cleaning products, and produce zero emissions in its operations by 2030,” it added.
SWF&CO added Unilever is also aligned with the overarching group’s vision, Unilever Caribbean Ltd, to provide a range of sustainable brands to the local market in keeping with local realities and priorities.
“Throughout the pandemic Unilever maintained close contact with customers, introducing new antibacterial lines and facilitating package renovations to better suit the demands of the time,” SWF said. Jean-Marc Mouttet, managing director of Unilever Caribbean, said the company it was “extremely gratifying” to receive an award that acknowledged Unilever’s commitment to supporting sustainable living in the region.
“We are driven to accelerate growth in our business while reducing our environmental footprint and increasing our positive social impact,” he said.
Mouttet also noted Unilever continues to lead and shape the local market through relevant consumer-driven innovation.
SWF&CO public relations also presented corporate achievement awards to ten of its clients and partners.
