The North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) is categorically rejecting any insinuation or allegation that it is intentionally delaying providing medical records for 16 babies who died. The parents of the babies are being represented by Freedom Law Chambers.

In a turn of events, a 37-year-old Diego Martin woman is suing the North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) for not admitting her daughter to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital’s Neonatal ICU (NICU), claiming this resulted in the infant’s death.

An autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre in Port-of-Spain confirmed that 63-year-old Bholo died of blunt force trauma to the head and nine stab wounds to the back of his neck. Bholo’s body was found floating in the Guaracara River, about 60 feet from the southbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway around 9 pm.
