In March 2024, the ANSA McAL Group of Companies sponsored the seventh cycle of WizdomCRM, a virtual stock market game themed Championing Success: Artificial Intelligence in Education and Cross-Border Excellence.
Yesterday, at the National Academy for the Performing Arts, WizdomCRM held its Seventh Cycle award ceremony for 150 students from T&T and Guyana.
Speaking at the ceremony, ANSA McAL Group of Companies head of Culture and Communications Sarah Inglefield said, “Our reason for coming on board as a regional sponsor of Cycle Seven is because we see this as a critical step towards promoting financial stability and success for people and societies across the Caribbean.”
She emphasised, “This initiative is important to our group CEO, Anthony Sabga III, and our leadership team as we see the benefits of the sustainable stock market game in strengthening human capital and ensuring quality education at the secondary school level in both Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago.”
Inglefield continued, “I am confident that all students who have participated in WizdomCRM Cycle Seven, especially the top 150 students, will contribute significantly towards a more sustainable future and fuel the entrepreneurial spirit towards economic development, creating opportunities for you, your families, and your communities.”
She added, “I am personally very inspired by what I have witnessed over the last three months—the power of partnerships with organisations such as WizdomCRM, the ministries, NGOs, businesses—all working together for a common cause. This evening, it’s all about you, the top 150 students who excelled from a pool of almost 7,797 students.”
Designed to nurture a deeper understanding of capital markets, WizdomCRM’s platform ignites a spirit of excellence, collaboration, and regional co-operation.
By engaging students in a dynamic learning environment, it aims to cultivate not only financial literacy but also a broader awareness of economic opportunities within the Caricom region.
Manager at WizdomCRM Caribbean Limited, Charielle Plowden, expressed satisfaction that sponsors have committed to stay on for Cycles Eight, Nine, and Ten.
The seventh cycle of WizdomCRM’s Sustainable Stock Market Game attracted significant participation with 7,797 students from Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago.
In Georgetown, Guyana, 2,122 students from secondary schools competed, while 5,675 students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds across Trinidad and Tobago also participated.
Chief executive officer of the Catholic Education Board of Management, Sharon Mangroo, highlighted, “In this cycle, the program has expanded beyond the shores of Trinidad and Tobago to Guyana, well on its way to becoming a Caribbean-wide initiative. With 150 secondary schools in this cycle, we look forward to having participation from all secondary schools very soon.”
She emphasised, “Students’ accounts of their experiences in the sustainable Wizdom stock market game speak to its profound impact as they learn to invest in local and international companies and engage with artificial intelligence in the development of new technologies.”
WizdomCRM is a digital literacy platform that teaches participants core financial skills.
All learning approaches are integrated through Isabella, the game’s bespoke AI tool, which guides users through visual, written, and auditory learning materials.
