Twenty-two more people have lost their lives to COVID-19, bringing the national death toll perilously close to 3,000. The latest update from the Ministry of Health reports that the national toll now stands at 2,936 lives lost.
The Ministry also has recorded another 338 people have tested positive for the disease, moving the number of total active positive cases to 15,183. These latest infections reflect samples taken between 29th December 2021 and 2nd January 2022.
In its update for today, the Ministry notes as well that 169 patients currently are recovering at step-down facilities.
