The nation’s primary school children will be showing off their musical talents when a series of District Music Concerts continues, on Monday 2 December 2024 in Fyzabad.
The second District Music Concert takes place tomorrow at Fyzabad Secondary School, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
According to a release from the Ministry of Education, entertainment at the event will be provided by students from 15 schools within the St. Patrick Education District, along with music instructors from the Ministry’s Primary Schools Music Programme Unit (PSMPU).
The District Music Concerts are an initiative of the PSMPU at the Ministry of Education. They were designed to “highlight the positive impact of education and give students the chance to improve their performance skills,” the Ministry explained in its release.
“The PSMPU District Concerts showcase the hard work, dedication, and talent of primary school students and the PSMPU Music instructors who teach them,” the Ministry said. “The concerts provide opportunities for students across many schools to experience performing in a public setting.”
“It empowers students through hands-on learning and cultural enrichment, aligning with the Ministry’s Cultural Transformation Policy,” it added.
