Five more people have lost their lives to COVID-19, while another 510 people have tested positive for the disease, according to the latest update from the Ministry of Health. Dead are two elderly males, one elderly female and two middle-aged males.
In its update for today, Monday 14 February 2022, the Ministry notes all five persons had multiple comorbidities, and their deaths have pushed up the national death toll to 3,531 lives lost.
In addition, the 510 new positive cases, based on samples taken between February 9th and 13th, mean that there are now 21,621 active cases of COVID-19 in the country, at this time.
Currently, some 697,792 people in the country are fully vaccinated, having completed either a one-dose or two-dose regimen for a COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 683,814 people have received their first doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 121,955 people have received booster doses as of today, Monday, the Ministry’s update reports.
