Aché Abrahams officially declared 2nd Runner-Up in Miss World 2024

Aché Abra­hams, Miss World Trinidad and To­ba­go, has of­fi­cial­ly been named the 2nd run­ner-up in Miss World 2024. Miss World qui­et­ly con­firmed this on their web­site near­ly six months af­ter the com­pe­ti­tion, where on­ly the win­ner and first run­ner-up were an­nounced pub­licly.

On Tues­day, the Miss Trinidad and To­ba­go Face­book page up­dat­ed with a post stat­ing: “Aché Abra­hams has been of­fi­cial­ly de­clared the 2nd run­ner-up of Miss World 2024. On the fi­nal night, on­ly the win­ner and first run­ner-up were an­nounced. The re­sults are now of­fi­cial­ly post­ed on the Miss World web­site. Here is the link – https://www.miss­world.com/con­tes­tants/2023.”

When con­tact­ed on Wednes­day, Miss World T&T fran­chise hold­er Charu Lochan Dass com­ment­ed: “The Miss World T&T Fran­chise con­grat­u­lates Aché Abra­hams on plac­ing 2nd run­ner-up at the 71st Miss World Pageant. We look for­ward to pro­duc­ing more tal­ent, role mod­els, and com­pe­tent young women to rep­re­sent Trinidad and To­ba­go.”

On March 19, 2024, a crowd of en­thu­si­as­tic sup­port­ers wel­comed Abra­hams back to Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port af­ter her top-four fin­ish in the 71st Miss World Pageant at the Jio World Con­ven­tion Cen­ter in Mum­bai, In­dia.

Abra­hams shared her joy, re­flect­ing on her per­for­mance: “The crown would have been great, but win­ning the hearts of my peo­ple is all I need­ed. I feel so blessed to have done that.” She al­so ex­pressed her com­mit­ment to her role as Miss World Caribbean: “Al­ready, my heart was full rep­re­sent­ing T&T. Now, rep­re­sent­ing the beau­ti­ful Caribbean re­gion, I know it’s a great re­spon­si­bil­i­ty, and I’m ready to be the voice for all of us.”

So­cial De­vel­op­ment Min­is­ter Don­na Cox, who at­tend­ed the event, praised Abra­hams for her achieve­ments and ex­pressed the gov­ern­ment’s sup­port for her fu­ture projects, es­pe­cial­ly her “In­vis­i­ble Scars” ini­tia­tive, which fo­cus­es on men­tal health ad­vo­ca­cy.
