Active COVID-19 cases in Tobago have dropped to 370 over the past 24 hours, with three (3) new cases being recorded.
That’s according to the latest update from the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), dated Wednesday 27th April 2022.
On Tuesday April 26th, the THA’s Health Division had reported 395 active infections on the island.
The drop in active cases corresponds with an increase in the number of persons reported as recovering from the disease. That figure is now up to 7,928 as of Wednesday April 27, up from the 7,900 reported on Tuesday. Recoveries are counted based on pandemic data collected from sin March 2020 to the present day.
The THA Health Division report also notes that no new deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded in Tobago over the past 24 hours, so the island’s death toll remains at 264 lives lost.
The most recent death on the island was reported on Friday 22nd April 2022—one (1) fully vaccinated person was recorded as the deceased on that date.
Eleven (11) people currently are hospitalised with COVID-19, with seven (7) of these patients listed as being unvaccinated, and the remaining four (4) patients listed as fully vaccinated.
