The American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago (AMCHAM T&T) has called on Prime Minister Stuart Young to place priority on enhancing national security, accelerating digital transformation to improve the ease of doing business and strengthening of institutions.
In a statement following his swearing-in ceremony, the chamber said," This transition marks a pivotal moment for our nation, and we reaffirm our commitment to working closely with the new administration.
AMCHAM T&T looks forward to deepening collaboration with the government on key policies that will advance national development and align with our longstanding advocacy positions of enhancing the rule of law to create a more attractive investment environment to drive socio-economic development."
AMCHAM said it looks forward to engaging Prime Minister Young and his Cabinet "in shaping a more progressive, inclusive, and sustainable future for all citizens to foster long-term economic resilience, social equity, and global competitiveness."
Prime Minister Young was sworn in on Monday morning at President's House while Camille Robinson-Regis was sworn in as Attorney General.
