Ari­ma May­or Cagney Casimire is promis­ing the con­struc­tion of a ma­jor mu­nic­i­pal com­plex, which will house sev­er­al min­istry of­fices, to be placed on Robin­son Cir­cu­lar, just across the road from the new Ari­ma Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.

The de­sign is still in the Ear­ly phas­es go­ing through an ar­chi­tect and pre­lim­i­nary de­sign, but no cost, or time­line has been des­ig­nat­ed.

May­or Casimi­er made the an­nounce­ment dur­ing the launch of the Blood Do­na­tion Lounge at the Ari­ma Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.

“There is go­ing to be at least a four storey build­ing, which will house the ser­vices that are pro­vid­ed by cer­tain min­istries, fi­nance, le­gal ser­vices, so­cial de­vel­op­ment, plan­ning and de­vel­op­ment,” May­or Casimire said. “I am told even Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty wants to have some of­fices in the build­ings.”

He said he ex­pects the de­mands in this area to in­crease as well so in the plans is a mul­ti-sto­ry car park as well which he hopes the Hos­pi­tal can utilise.

There is a plan as well for the re­fur­bish­ment of the Ari­ma Velo­drome at a cost al­most $80 mil­lion.
