The An­ju­man Sun­nat­ul Ja­maat As­so­ci­a­tion (AS­JA) says it is deeply sad­dened about the dev­as­tat­ing earth­quake that re­cent­ly struck Mo­roc­co, caus­ing sig­nif­i­cant loss of life and wide­spread de­struc­tion. In a state­ment AS­JA said its thoughts and prayers go out to the peo­ple, es­pe­cial­ly those who lost their loved ones, as they grap­ple to put their lives back to­geth­er af­ter this trag­ic event.

“In dif­fi­cult and chal­leng­ing times like these, it is cru­cial for us to show our sol­i­dar­i­ty and sup­port for those who are suf­fer­ing. We have no doubt, as Be­liev­ers, that they will over­come this tragedy with the Grace of Al­lah, with the same de­ter­mi­na­tion that is so char­ac­ter­is­tic of their his­to­ry.”

AS­JA said de­spite its lim­it­ed re­sources, it would like to ex­tend as­sis­tance in any way pos­si­ble, whether it be through hu­man­i­tar­i­an aid, re­lief ef­forts, or any oth­er means.

“Please know that we stand ready to col­lab­o­rate with the Mo­roc­can au­thor­i­ties and or­ga­ni­za­tions to help al­le­vi­ate the suf­fer­ing of those af­fect­ed by this earth­quake. Please do not hes­i­tate to reach out to us if there is any spe­cif­ic way in which we can con­tribute to the re­lief and re­cov­ery ef­forts.”AS­JA said it is com­mit­ted to stand­ing with Mo­roc­co and its peo­ple as they re­build their com­mu­ni­ties and re­cov­er from the im­pact of this dis­as­ter.

“Once again, our hearts and Du­ahs go out to the peo­ple of Mo­roc­co with the as­sur­ance that they are not alone in this chal­leng­ing jour­ney to­wards re­cov­ery. With sin­cere sym­pa­thy and un­wa­ver­ing sup­port.”
