Af­ter al­most sev­en months on sus­pen­sion, at­tor­ney Ja­son Jack­son could re­sume prac­tis­ing law in T&T.

In a High Court or­der dat­ed Ju­ly 2, Jus­tice Bet­sy-Ann Lam­bert Pe­ter­son or­dered that Jack­son be read­mit­ted as an at­tor­ney.

The south-based at­tor­ney had been sus­pend­ed last No­vem­ber af­ter he failed to com­ply with an or­der by the dis­ci­pli­nary com­mit­tee of the Law As­so­ci­a­tion.

This stemmed from a com­plaint against him by a for­mer client.

A no­tice in the Gazette stat­ed that Jack­son, Kweku Wil­son, Win­ston Hy­atali and Kathy-Ann Mot­t­ley, were sus­pend­ed from prac­tis­ing law be­cause of their fail­ure or re­fusal to com­ply in whole or in part with the dis­ci­pli­nary com­mit­tee or­ders.

How­ev­er, Jack­son sub­se­quent­ly com­plied with the or­der and ap­plied to the High Court to be read­mit­ted as an at­tor­ney.
