Cruises on board the MV Harbour Master have been cancelled for the remainder of the Tobago Carnival celebrations because of bad weather.

The announcement came shortly after midday on Wednesday, via a media release issued by Harbour Tours Limited.

"It is with a heavy heart that Harbour Tours Ltd has made the difficult decision to cancel our remaining bookings. The primary basis of our decision was made as a result of the increasing sea swells which made the boarding and disembarking process from the vessel extremely difficult and dangerous," it stated.

The release noted, as the weather remains unpredictable it becomes a safety risk for both patrons and staff.

The Meteorologist Office has issued a yellow level adverse weather alert which will remain in effect until Saturday at 3 pm.

Again, with safety being our utmost priority, we do humbly apologize for any inconvenience caused to you and our valued patrons," the release said.

All promoters will be contacted individually with further information.
