Two men are expected to be questioned and charged by police, after they were caught hiding in the roof of a Church’s Chicken restaurant after breaking in early yesterday.
Police said the manager of Church’s Chicken’s Arouca branch locked up the restaurant and left for the evening on Monday night.
Police, however, received a report of a break-in at the restaurant around 5.25 am and went to the scene.
Officers of the Arouca CID and the North-Central Division Task Force went to the location but did not find any of the doors or windows tampered with.
Police eventually got into the restaurant and found a hole in the roof of the building and the bandits hiding inside.
The men, ages 29 and 30 from Santa Cruz and San Juan, were arrested.
Police also found two backpacks containing a quantity of cash from a safe and tools used to break into the fast food establishment.
