Two men are ex­pect­ed to be ques­tioned and charged by po­lice, af­ter they were caught hid­ing in the roof of a Church’s Chick­en restau­rant af­ter break­ing in ear­ly yes­ter­day.

Po­lice said the man­ag­er of Church’s Chick­en’s Arou­ca branch locked up the restau­rant and left for the evening on Mon­day night.

Po­lice, how­ev­er, re­ceived a re­port of a break-in at the restau­rant around 5.25 am and went to the scene.
Of­fi­cers of the Arou­ca CID and the North-Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Task Force went to the lo­ca­tion but did not find any of the doors or win­dows tam­pered with.

Po­lice even­tu­al­ly got in­to the restau­rant and found a hole in the roof of the build­ing and the ban­dits hid­ing in­side.

The men, ages 29 and 30 from San­ta Cruz and San Juan, were ar­rest­ed.
Po­lice al­so found two back­packs con­tain­ing a quan­ti­ty of cash from a safe and tools used to break in­to the fast food es­tab­lish­ment.
