Beckles’ slate sweeps PNM internal elections

Op­po­si­tion Leader Pen­ne­lope Beck­les has se­cured a clear man­date in the Peo­ple’s Na­tion­al Move­ment’s 2025 in­ter­nal elec­tion.

Beck­les, who was un­op­posed for the post of Po­lit­i­cal Leader, led a team that dom­i­nat­ed vot­ing across all 41 con­stituen­cies on Sun­day. Pre­lim­i­nary re­sults re­leased by the Elec­tions Su­per­vi­so­ry Com­mit­tee con­firmed over 7,000 mem­bers par­tic­i­pat­ed in the elec­tion, with bal­lot count­ing con­tin­u­ing in­to the ear­ly hours of Mon­day morn­ing.
